Ingredients:
1 head cabbage (500 gms)
1 cup peas
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 green chili slit into half
1/2" ginger grated
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp catch sabzi masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp dry mango powder or 1/2 lemon's juice
1/4 tsp degi mirch (cayenne pepper powder)
salt to taste
Chopped coriander for garnishing
Method:
- Slice the cabbage into fine long shreds and keep shredded cabbage and peas in a big vessel full of warm water for 10-15 minutes.
- Then put it in a strainer and wash under running water and keep in the strainer for 5 minutes till all the water is drained out.
- Heat oil in a wok (kadahi) and crackle cumin seeds and slit green chili ,add ginger and stir for a while.
- Add cabbage along with peas ,salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Cook on high heat for 3-5 minutes while stirring in between,then simmer the gas and cover the wok with a lid and cook further for 3-5 minutes till the veges are cooked but tender.
- Add rest of the spices and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with chapati or parantha.
